Hancock CDC provides homebuyer education to individuals and groups. We educate clients on the entire process of purchasing a home. We continue to support our clients with ongoing upkeep and maintenance training first-time homebuyers. Our workshops cover a wide range of topics, including:

Credit and repairing bad credit
Home maintenance and repair
Obtaining home improvement loans and grants
Utilities, rebates and emergency assistance
Identifying government and community resources for education
Neighborhood Meetings and improvements
How to communicate with lenders and sellers
Completing the mortgage application and apply for loan programs
Ordering and reviewing a home inspection
Budgeting
Home emergencies
Financial adversity ? Income, mortgage and utility delinquency
